Open Beta has begun!

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Wed, 22 Apr 2009 19:15:52 +0000

OPEN BETA ON THE SECOND LIFE GRID HAS NOW BEGUN! FlexMarket has had a rocky road from its very inception.  A site this ambitious takes a lot of planning, coding, testing, and usually there’s an entire team working on it.  Unfortunately, I have been the only guy working on this site, so it’s crucial to test [...]

Moving Shop

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Tue, 21 Apr 2009 08:50:59 +0000

We’re moving our shit to another area, which is actually cheaper and has 368 prims instead of 51 (!). It’s also a class-5 server, so MUCH less lag. Almost done, just tweaking the terminals so I don’t need a bank server (Economic Core will manage all Terminals). Closed beta will begin soon. Our current shitty [...]

FlexMarket Almost Ready for SL Grid

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Sun, 05 Apr 2009 22:24:48 +0000

I’ve finally managed to purchase a small parcel of e-land for FlexMarket’s central bank server.  After I complete testing, I’ll begin a closed beta with a few people I know, before announcing a public beta. Keep your fingers crossed. Since I’m banned for a day for some stupid shit (LL is still pissed at me, lol), I’ll [...]

FlexMarket Needs Your Help.

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Wed, 25 Mar 2009 09:51:45 +0000

In anticipation of the closed beta phase of FlexMarket, I require build access to some land on the AGNI grid of SL.  I would prefer that the land specified has no autoreturn, so sandboxes are out of the question.  If you would like to help, please contact me here, or on the forums.  I only [...]

Another Milestone: OpenLife

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Sat, 21 Mar 2009 01:22:34 +0000

In anticipation of the coming grand opening of FlexMarket, I tested communications with FlexMarket from OpenLife. Tests were successful, and OpenLife will be one of the grids we launch on. Still waiting on word from LL, osgrid, etc.

Product Listings - Mostly Complete

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Wed, 18 Mar 2009 08:32:38 +0000

90% of the Products Listings system is complete.  I fixed a few display bugs, enabled picture uploads, and have almost finished the listing addition form.  Tests are ongoing, still have to set up the product delivery system, so no buy buttons yet. In the meantime, I am working on a pricing structure for the various listing [...]

FlexMarket PDS - GREAT SUCCESS

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Sun, 15 Mar 2009 00:44:50 +0000

The FlexMarket Inventory Cloud is a system to aggregate all accessible items from all of your alts so it is simpler to find and shove into a product listing.  Now that it is working correctly, 80% of the work on FlexMarket is complete. Everything else is now mostly front-end work, like forms, and some minor [...]

FlexMarket PDS Prototype - First Look

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Sat, 14 Mar 2009 10:23:29 +0000

Finally got a lot of work done on the Product Distribution Server (PDS) core. My labors established a working protocol for FlexMarket <-> SL-based entities, and have produced a working control panel for PDSes in the user dashboard.  The PDS prototype downloaded and stored settings from my webserver in a split second, which includes [...]

A Change in Theme

Posted by FlexMarket Administration on Fri, 13 Mar 2009 09:30:11 +0000

Today, in between working on our product delivery services, I decided it was time to move to a less-blinding site theme. Thus, we now have a white, green, blue, and gray theme designed to be light on the eyes and on your bandwidth. In addition, I whipped together a quick logo. Current site status: 60% Complete.
